WEEK 3 - THE HALT FOR A WHILE
WEEKLY REFLECTION ON SCHOOL INTERNSHIP PHASE 1
Weekly reflection from November 14 to November 18.
The week started with children's day. And we along with the teachers celebrated the children's day on a grand scale. There was a special assembly on that day and students performed various programmes.
The second day of the week had unexpectedly been a strike day and we went to school hoping at least a few students will turn up, but only students who had to practice for art festivals came. We used the day to catch up on our work and prepare further lesson plans.
On Wednesday the classes got back to their previous routine, but by then we were informed that by Friday we had to put a halt to our internship for a while, due to our semester exams, children's exams and Christmas vacation, etc. We were informed that our internship will resume only in January.
We were in hurry from there on to complete our portions before we go back, we asked for substitution classes and engaged with the children as much as we can, and by then we understood how much we are going to miss these.
On Thursday, we directed and instructed children while they discussed in groups, their instructions for curriculum reformation. And then by Friday, we had said formal goodbyes to our beloved students, teachers other non-teaching staffs, and respected headmistress Lakshmi ma'am.
